Can I run Dragon Ball Z Kakarot on my computer?
By Cliff Henjum January 19, 2019:
According to a massive amount of reviews on Steam, Bandai Namco has made an excellent DBZ game that fans of the franchise have fallen in love with. Dragon Ball Z Kakarot enables players to relive the story of Goku and the rest of the Z Fighters you love (and love to hate!) This DBZ game takes a different route than the recent fighting game like Dragon Ball FighterZ and offers a lot more RPG elements and freedom. Experience what it’s like to live in the world, and not just for the fighting, but for the flying and fishing and training too. Can your computer run Dragon Ball Z Kakarot? If it passes the minimum system requirements test, you’ll be off to a great start!
In order to run Dragon Ball Z Kakarot on PC, your computer should at least be able to pass the minimum system requirements test. Since it’s a(n) (semi) open-world game with a much larger scope than the previous fighting games, it makes sense for Kakarot’s system requirements to be a bit higher than its predecessors. For your video card, you’ll want at least a GeForce GTX 750 Ti or a Radeon HD 7950. The CPU requirements are also among the middle of the pack for modern system requirements for triple A games. An Intel Core i5-2400 or an AMD Phenom II X6 1100T will get your computer to the minimum Power Level to begin your Saiyan journey. As we continue down the list of required hardware, the last important milestone you’ll need to hit is a very achievable 4 GB of RAM. If you want to take DBZ Kakarot to Super Saiyan levels and beyond, you’ll need a PC that passes the recommended requirements test.
The jump between the minimum and recommended system requirements tests is like the difference in Power Levels between Krillin and Goku. In other words, you’ll need a much more powerful PC to pass the recommended requirements test as opposed to falling somewhere in the middle. The recommended requirements test for DBZ Kakarot is significantly higher than The Witcher 3, another popular open-world title. A GeForce GTX 960 or a Radeon R9 280X will put your PC on par with the best of ‘em and enable you to max out the graphics. Your computer will also need to have at least an Intel Core i5-3470 or an AMD Ryzen 1200 in its CPU slot. The RAM needed to pass the recommended test is double that of the minimum, so you’ll need a solid 8 GB to get moving at the highest levels of graphics.
