Can my PC run Crucible?

By Cliff Henjum May 6, 2020

Amazon makes its debut in the multiplayer gaming world on May 20th, 2020 with the release of Crucible. Crucible is an upcoming free to play, team-based PvP style game that combines elements from many of the industry’s most popular games like Dota 2, Valorant, and Fortnite BR. The game itself is a shooter at its most basic level, but it features a list of playable characters that have unique abilities that you will have to master in a variety of different objective games that combine elements from Mobas and Battle Royales. Crucible will launch on Steam and should work on a good range of computers and laptops.

The minimum system requirements for Crucible are pretty average and should allow for a decent amount of systems to run the game with a playable framerate. Your computer should have at least a GeForce GTX 660 or a Radeon HD 6950 for its GPU. These are slightly higher than the hardware needed to run Halo 2: Anniversary which releases a few days before Crucible. Additionally, your CPU should be at least an Intel core i5-3570 or an AMD FX-6300. You will also need at least Windows 7 and 8 GB of RAM to complete the system requirements test for Crucible.

In order to run Crucible on the highest settings while maintaining a high FPS, you will need a PC that passes the recommended system requirements test. They are similar to the other super popular shooter/battle royale: Call of Duty: Warzone, but slightly lower so if you can run Warzone, then Crucible should not be an issue. At the very least, your video card should be a GeForce GTX 1060 or a Radeon RX 570 (or something even more powerful). In the CPU slot, you should have at least an Intel Core i5-6500 (3.2 Ghz) or an AMD Ryzen 3 2200G. The RAM requirement is no different between minimum and recommended specs.
