Can my computer run Mafia II: Definitive Edition?
By Cliff Henjum May 23, 2020
2K and Hangar 13 recently released the Definitive Edition for Mafia II, one of their more titles from a decade ago. Get ready to take on the role of Vito Scaletta with revamped graphics and access to the original version. In order to run Mafia II: Definitive Edition on PC, your computer should be able to pass at least the minimum system requirements test.
To start things off, having a video card that’s at least as powerful as a GeForce GTX 660 or a Radeon HD 7870 will have you blasting away with a Tommy Gun in no time. Your computer will be feelin like a real wise guy if it also has an Intel i5-2500K or AMD FX-8120 (or something stronger) for its CPU. This is closer to the recommended requirements for another remake, Spyro Reignited, but we’ll need a stronger computer than this to play Mafia II: Definitive Edition on max settings.
Play like the Don himself with a PC that passes the Mafia II: Definitive Edition recommended system requirements test. For your GPU, you should have at least a GeForce GTX 780 or a Radeon R9 290X. And then in your CPU slot, you’re looking at needing something along the lines of an Intel Core i7-3770 or an AMD FX-8350. 8 GB of RAM or more is also needed to get your computer up to speed.
